The Prague Manuscript  By Dr. James Paulding
A novel of political revenge that is a “must read” for Central European and Second World War history buffs.
A Denver Associate Professor is assigned a young female graduate student whom he has previously never met. She is brilliant, extremely wealthy, yet appears emotionally unstable. During the following weeks, the professor unravels a plot of intrigue, finding his student using her vast wealth for purposes of political revenge. Under commitment to his university, and pressured by the girl’s own father, he agrees to act as guardian, and accompanies his student to Europe. Once there, however, both are placed at risk due to knowledge surfacing about a large manuscript, one with tentacles reaching back to the Second World War.

Set in the present day, this novel relates the story of a large manuscript that is actually a historical account of thousands of atrocities committed by citizens of three cultures during and after the Second World War. A rich young American girl looks far into the past and wants revenge because of what happened to members of her own family.

Americans, Germans, Czechs, and Israelis join the rich mix of characters. But the story is driven by young Everly Somerset, who has plenty of money and knows exactly what she wants to do with it.

The novel ranges geographically from a university in Denver, Colorado to the Chicago area, followed by Munich, Prague, Brno, Vienna, and Berlin. It is set against present-day European violence, as criminals, blinded by fear, attempt to destroy a large segment of historical truth.
